Mark Zavorski

Mark Zavorski has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mark began their career in the US Army, where they held various positions and gained experience in training, supervising, and leading teams in both garrison and combat settings. Their technical skills include working with local area networks, tactical secure FM-radio/satellite radio networks, antennas, Active Directory, and Windows Server maintenance and support.

After their military service, Zavorski transitioned to the civilian sector and joined the American Society of Anesthesiologists®. Here, they served as a Help Desk Coordinator, Network Administrator, and Senior System Engineer. In these roles, they provided level II and III support for systems and end-users, maintained and troubleshooted LAN/WAN infrastructure, virtualized physical servers using VMware ESX hosts, managed network security using Cisco ASA's and Microsoft Forefront TMG, and oversaw the migration of various services such as DNS, DHCP, and NPS/RADIUS.

Zavorski then joined Smalley as a System Engineer, where they were responsible for the security, installation, and maintenance of LAN and WAN infrastructure. Mark utilized Cisco Umbrella secure DNS, ASA 5524x firewalls with Firepower services modules, and Sourcefire AMP advanced malware protection to ensure a high level of security.

In 2017, Zavorski joined JourneyCare as a Systems & Security Engineer and later became an Infrastructure Manager at Addus (formerly JourneyCare). Their responsibilities included leading and supervising the IT Department's Infrastructure Team, managing information security, and overseeing projects such as migrating to SDWAN, deploying Duo MFA, and upgrading VMware infrastructure.

Currently, Zavorski holds the title of Director of Infrastructure at BrightStar Care, where they are responsible for the overall infrastructure management.

Throughout their career, Zavorski has demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, security, and team management. Mark has achieved certifications such as 4Med Certified HIPAA Security Professional (CHSP) and completed a CCNA boot camp at Global Knowledge.

Mark Zavorski has a Master of Information Systems Management degree from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, which they obtained in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Information Security from the same institution in 2021. In 2013, Mark earned their Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from DeVry University. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified HIPAA Security Professional (CHSP) from 4MedPlus Training Corporation in April 2018.
