Kate Grahek has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. Kate began their career as a Patient Access Specialist for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in 2015. In 2016, they became a Special Education Teacher for Hamline Elementary School. In 2019, they took on a Long Term Substitute Teacher role for Teachers On Call, a Kelly Services® Company, as well as an English Language Development Teacher and Reading Interventionist role for STRIVE Prep. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Customer Engagement Specialist and Sales Development Representative for brightwheel.

Kate Grahek graduated from Osceola High School in 2011. Kate then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2015. In 2016, they earned their Masters in Art of Teaching from Hamline University, with a focus in Elementary Education and Teaching. In 2018, they obtained their Minnesota Teacher License from the Minnesota Department of Education.
