Nate Madick is the Educators Outreach Lead at Brilliant.org. Nate was previously a Program Manager at the University of California, Los Angeles from July 2020 to March 2021. Prior to that, they were an Instructional Coach at New Haven Public Schools from January 2018 to June 2020.

At New Haven Public Schools, Nate implemented a Department of Education grant dedicated to increasing student engagement and deep understanding by coaching teachers to incorporate STEAM, project-based learning, inquiry, and design thinking into daily instruction. Nate was responsible for documenting compliance by completing federally mandated reports, including a yearly summary. Site reports from the federal government rated Davis as high performing.

Nate collaborated with fellow members of the leadership team to craft professional development catered to individual staff members’ needs and intellectual curiosities. Nate directed a budget of approximately $200,000 per year. The grant funded professional development partnerships, technology, curriculum and tutors. Nate coached teachers to use Chromebooks and applications including: IXL, STmath, Amplify, Kahoot, Google Classroom, Nearpod, Desmos, Quizlet, Classdojo, Classcraft, Khan Academy, Newsela, Little Bits, Soundtrap, and Adobe Suite. The school was recognized as a National Magnet School of Excellence for the first time in 2020.

Nate Madick has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. Nate also has a certification in Mathematics Teacher from the EDUCATION, CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF.
