Michelle S. Reed

Michelle S. Reed has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Michelle S. most recently worked as a People Experience Specialist at Brilliant starting in December 2021. Prior to this, they served as an English Lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from August 2018 to December 2021.

Michelle also had significant experience at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) where they worked as an English/Writing Instructor and taught courses in basic composition and rhetoric, as well as an introductory literature course from July 2016 to May 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Writing Center Consultant at UNCG from August 2016 to May 2017.

Before their time at UNCG, Michelle held roles as an Executive Assistant/HR Coordinator and a Part-Time Online Content Editor at WyzAnt Tutoring from May 2014 to July 2016 and July 2013 to May 2014, respectively. During this period, they also freelanced as a Writer and Editor, working on various projects related to health and wellness, facial hair, and creating English practice tests and answer explanations.

Earlier in their career, Michelle served as a Graduate Assistant at Bucknell University from August 2011 to May 2013 and worked as a Reference Assistant at Bertrand Library during the same period.

Michelle S. began their professional journey as an Intern/Assistant Poetry Editor for Third Coast Magazine from October 2009 to April 2011.

Michelle S. Reed completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Creative Writing at Western Michigan University from 2008 to 2011. Michelle S. then pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) in English at Bucknell University, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Finally, Michelle obtained their Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro between 2016 and 2018.
