Glenn Upson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of security and protection. Glenn is currently serving as the Head of Security and Precinct at Brisbane Racing Club since 2022. Prior to this, Glenn founded and served as the Director of CorpSec International Pty Ltd (CSI) since 2005. Under their leadership, CSI provides customized security services and training solutions globally. Glenn has also worked as the A/Director Operational and Support Services at Queensland Health from 2021 to 2022.
Glenn's notable experiences include serving as the Cluster Security Manager for Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation, where they managed the security planning and teams for four venues. Glenn also worked as the Principal Workplace Investigator/Case Manager at Queensland Health from 2010 to 2012 and as a Security Consultant at Control Risks Group, providing specialized protection services in dangerous environments.
Earlier in their career, Glenn served as a Queensland Police Officer, specializing in counter-terrorism and high-risk operations, and as a Victorian Police Officer. Glenn began their career in 1983 as an Infantry Soldier - Paratrooper in the Australian Army.
Glenn Upson attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) where they studied Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration.
