Gary Poon

Gary Poon is a seasoned professional in the field of people analytics and systems, currently serving as the Director of People Analytics & Systems at BC Ferries since August 2024. Prior to this role, Gary held various positions at Fraser Health Authority from October 2015 to July 2024, including Executive Director of People Informatics & Systems and Data Management, Director of People Informatics & Systems, and Chief Data Steward. Earlier experiences include serving as Director of Research & Knowledge Management, Economist, and Research Analyst at HEABC from February 2009 to September 2015, as well as working as an Investment Analyst at Aon Hewitt from April 2007 to February 2009. Gary Poon holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, both from Simon Fraser University.
