Dan Shockley

Dan Shockley is a highly experienced researcher and analyst with a strong focus on environmental science and sustainability. Currently a PhD researcher at the British Geological Survey, Dan investigates microplastics in freshwater and groundwater systems. Previous roles include serving as an Energy & Carbon Analyst at Thames Water, where Dan led the preparation of the company's annual regulatory carbon footprint and advised on environmental regulatory risks. Additional experience encompasses positions at GlaxoSmithKline, Queen Mary University of London, and various roles at Thames Water, contributing to energy management and water quality analysis. Dan holds a Master's in Environmental Management and a Bachelor's in Environmental Science from the University of Reading.
