Vanessa Starcher

Vanessa Starcher is an experienced geophysicist with a strong background in geoscience and operations management. Currently serving as the Science and Operations Lead at the British Geological Survey since May 2015, Vanessa has held various positions including Operations Manager and Geophysicist within the organization. Prior to this, Vanessa worked as a Geophysicist at Santos Ltd from August 2006 to March 2014 and at BG Group from 1993 to 2006. Early in the career, Vanessa gained experience as a Vacation Student at Shell in 1992. Vanessa's educational background includes a PgDip in Careers Management and Development from Edinburgh Napier University, a Master’s Degree in Basin Evolution and Dynamics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology and Geophysics from Durham University.
