Kongkona Sarma

Kongkona Sarma has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Kongkona is currently the Director at Sidona Green Ltd. since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Delivery Lead, FSG Plus at British International Investment starting in July 2021. Kongkona also has experience as the Co-Founder of GypsyFeet Travels, a social entrepreneurship venture focused on responsible tourism since January 2009. Kongkona was a Principal Consultant at DAI from March 2015 to December 2022. Additionally, Kongkona worked as an International Development Consultant at Atos Consulting from August 2012 to February 2015. Kongkona also served as an Economic Adviser at the Permanent Mission of India to UN in 2011 and as an Investment Associate, Treasury at Edelweiss Capital from 2007 to 2009. Earlier in their career, Kongkona worked as an Associate, Quantitative Equity Research at Morgan Stanley Capital International in 2006 and as a Consultant at GENPACT LLC from 2004 to 2006.

Kongkona Sarma obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University - Maxwell School in 2010-2011. Earlier, they completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya in 2002-2004. In addition to their degrees, Kongkona Sarma has obtained various certifications, including Introduction to ESG: Environmental, Social, and Governance from LinkedIn in 2023, ESG investing from the CFA Institute in 2022, Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) from The Springfield Centre for Business in Development in 2015, Prince 2 Practitioner from APMG-International in 2014, APMP 5 - APM Project Management Qualification from the Association for Project Management in 2013, and HEAT - Hostile Environment Awareness Training from Fox Delta Limited in 2013.
