Yj Fischer

YJ Fischer currently serves as the Director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since August 2021. Prior to this role, YJ Fischer was the Global Head at YouTube from May 2020 to August 2021 and contributed to various news outlets, including Financial Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC from February 2006 to August 2021. YJ Fischer held the position of Vice President at startups including Virgin Hyperloop One and Bird from 2017 to 2020, and advised at the U.S. Department of State from 2012 to 2016. Earlier career experience includes working as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis from 2010 to 2012, as an Advisor for the Ohio Treasurer of State from 2006 to 2007, and for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 2004 to 2005. YJ Fischer earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School, where achievements included being a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a winner in Trial Advocacy, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Barnard College.
