Leo Scanavino has a diverse work experience, starting from 2000 as a Senior Consultant at KPMG Corporate Finance. Leo later worked as a Summer Associate at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in 2005. From 2006 to 2013, Leo served as a Director at Citi Venture Capital International, a private equity firm focusing on restructuring and industry consolidations in developing markets. After that, they worked as a Director of Private Equity at Actis, a leading pan-emerging markets private equity firm, from 2013 to 2015. Leo then served as a CFO at RJD Partners, an equity investor specializing in buyouts and development capital deals, from 2016 to 2022. Additionally, in 2017, they became an Advisor at Africa Platform Capital, a specialist private equity firm focusing on the consumer and healthcare sectors in sub-Saharan Africa. Leo fulfilled the role of Board Member at Babington and JPF SYSTEMS from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are the Director of Portfolio Management and Value Creation at British International Investment, the UK's development finance institution and impact investor. Leo is also a Board Observer of the Audit Committee at iMerit Technology.
Leo Scanavino has a Ba (Hons) degree in Accounting from Universidad Nacional de La Plata, which was obtained between 1992 and 1997. Leo also holds a Masters degree in Finance from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, which was obtained from 1999 to 2001. In addition, Leo has completed an MBA in Finance & Strategy from the London Business School, which took place between 2004 and 2006. Leo has also obtained a certification in Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer from the Financial Conduct Authority in 2017.
