Sonia Jordan-Kirwan

Sonia Jordan-Kirwan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over multiple industries and sectors. Sonia began their career as a Representative to the UK at the European Youth Parliament in 2004. Sonia then worked as a Public Affairs Intern at Cohn & Wolfe in 2008. In 2010, they served as a Translator at the United Nations Volunteers. Sonia then joined the European Commission as a Policy Trainee in 2011 before working as a Seconded Policy Analyst at the Labour Party in 2012. Sonia also worked as a Senior Associate at PwC in the field of International Development during the same year. From 2014 to 2017, they held the position of Senior Manager in Women's Economic Empowerment at Adam Smith International. Sonia subsequently worked as an Independent Consultant specializing in Women's Economic Empowerment and Inclusive Supply Chains from 2017 to 2018. Sonia then joined British International Investment, where they held various roles including Executive, Manager, and Gender Finance Lead before becoming the Head of Gender & Diversity Finance in 2023. Sonia also serves as a Board Member at 2X Global starting from 2023. Overall, Sonia Jordan-Kirwan's career has primarily focused on advancing gender equality and inclusion in various sectors and industries.

Sonia Jordan-Kirwan has a BA degree with First-Class Honours from Durham University. Sonia also obtained an MPhil with Distinction from the University of Cambridge. Sonia'sprimary education was completed at The Gryphon School. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods from the University of Oxford, Aid Effectiveness from a Gender Perspective from UN Women, and M4P - Making Markets Work for the Poor from The Springfield Centre Limited.
