Marieke Hagemans has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Marieke began their career at TSR Vidar as a Member Symposium Committee, where they served from August 2008 to June 2009. Marieke then joined Ronald McDonald Huis Middenwest-Brabant as a Consultant & Volunteer, rewriting the volunteering policy and assisting with its implementation from February 2009 to December 2009.

Marieke Hagemans then worked at Philips Lighting as an Assistant to the HR Business Partner from October 2008 to September 2010. In this role, they supported various HR projects, including a business unit restructure, reward system implementation, and training initiatives. Marieke also developed an onboarding program and assisted with recruitment and restructuring in the Shanghai office.

From 2011 to 2013, Marieke Hagemans worked at Lamb Weston Meijer as an HR Consultant for a brief period and then joined Pure Insight Ltd as a Programme Lead. At Pure Insight Ltd, they focused on stage gate improvements and innovation pipelines for clients such as Philips, Coca Cola Enterprises, and Nedbank. Their responsibilities included data synthesis, research recommendations, workshop facilitation, and client relationship management.

In 2014, Marieke Hagemans joined C Space as a Consultant - Insight & Innovation. In this role, they conducted research using private online communities to help clients better understand their customers and improve their products and services. Marieke led research projects, ensuring high-quality implementation within agreed timelines.

Most recently, Marieke Hagemans worked at British Rowing, where they held various positions. Marieke started as an Insights Manager from May 2016 to April 2020, responsible for providing data and insights to inform decision making, integrating new membership data management tools, and leading research projects. Marieke then became the Head of Membership from April 2020 to March 2022, leading the membership team and generating over £1M in unrestricted income. Currently, they serve as the Director of Membership & Rowing Community, leading teams responsible for membership, strategy, facilities, youth engagement, and club support. Marieke manages a portfolio of projects, including insurance, volunteer engagement, and new projects/initiatives.

Marieke Hagemans has a strong educational background in the field of organizational studies and human resource management. Marieke began their education at St. Willibrord College Goes, where they completed their HAVO degree in Culture & Society from 2000 to 2005.

Afterward, they attended Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.

Marieke then pursued further studies at Tilburg University from 2010 to 2013, completing a Master's degree in Organisation Studies. During their time at Tilburg University, they also had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge by undertaking a postgraduate program in Management at the University of Technology Sydney in 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Marieke Hagemans has obtained a certification in SAS Visual Analytics for SAS 9: Fast Track from SAS in October 2018.
