Behnoush Hajian is a Senior Scientist I at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, involved in the Center for Development of Therapeutics since February 2019, following roles as Research Scientist II and Research Scientist I at the same institute. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut from August 2012 to January 2019, focusing on the development of small molecules targeting Mycobacterium tuberculosis and dual inhibitors for Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus. Behnoush also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting courses related to drug information, dosage form preparation, nutrition, and problem-solving in pharmacy. Behnoush earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, specializing in Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design from the University of Connecticut (2012-2018), holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology from Bu-Ali Sina University (2007-2010), and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology from Shiraz University (2003-2007).
