John Newton

John Newton has a diverse work experience history. John started their career as an On-Air Personality at The Talk Station - WTKF 107.1 from September 2011 to August 2015. Following this, they worked as Golf Course Staff at The Beaufort Club, responsible for various tasks related to golf course maintenance and customer service, from June 2014 to June 2016. In 2015, they joined Emerson Channel Sports as a Commentator, Analyst, and Host, and also worked as a National Sports Correspondent for The Emerson Channel until May 2019.

In 2016, John worked as a Courier for Postmates until November 2019. During their time at Postmates, they gained experience in delivery services.

From March 2020 to January 2021, they worked as a Front Desk Manager at Nextgen Realty. John then joined Boardwalk Properties as a Real Estate Salesperson and a Hiring Manager from November 2019 to January 2021. As a real estate salesperson, they earned commission on apartment rental deals.

While working at Boardwalk Properties, John also worked at Twitch from January 2019 as a Twitch Affiliate, specializing in live streaming esports/gaming and sports content. John co-streamed NBA G League games and generated revenue through subscriptions and donations.

John's most recent work experience is with Broad River Retail d/b/a Ashley HomeStore, where they worked as a Home Furnishings Consultant from January 2021 and currently serves as the Sales Manager and Finance Manager.

In addition to their professional career, John also played football as a member of the United States Australian Football League (USAFL) from August 2015. John achieved significant accomplishments as a football player, including being part of the 2019 Div. 2 National Champion and 2019 Div. 2 Regional Champion teams playing for the Boston Demons.

John Newton attended East Carteret High School from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained their high school diploma. Following that, they enrolled at Emerson College from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism and Sports Communication. In November 2019, John obtained a certification as a Real Estate Broker/Sales Agent from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
