Amber Winthers, MSIA, CISM

Amber Winthers, MSIA, CISM has held various roles in the security industry since 2012. From 2012-2013, they were a Document Specialist at Fishback Financial Corporation. Amber then moved on to ECCO Inc. where they were a Staff Support Specialist from 2013-2014. In 2014, they joined SBS CyberSecurity as the Director of Education. Winthers then took on the role of Information Security Analyst at KBRwyle from 2017-2019. During this time, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Cybrary. In 2019, they began working at Arapahoe County as the Cybersecurity Program Manager and Local Agency Security Officer. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Compliance Program Manager at Broadnet.

Amber Winthers holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Assurance and Computer Security from Dakota State University, which they earned between 2015 and 2017. Amber also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Technology and Marketing from Dakota State University, which they earned between 2012 and 2014. Additionally, they hold an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Business Management from Dakota State University, which they earned between 2011 and 2012.

Amber Winthers has also obtained several certifications, including a Learning Cyber Incident Response and Digital Forensics certification from LinkedIn in April 2022, a Master Certificate of Enterprise Cybersecurity Leadership from Professional Development Academy in April 2020, an IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from AXELOS Global Best Practice in August 2019, a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in November 2019, a Certified Banking Security Executive from Secure Banking Solutions, LLC in July 2016, a Certified Banking Security Manager from Secure Banking Solutions, LLC in May 2015, and a Certified Banking Business Continuity Professional from Secure Banking Solutions, LLC in March 2016.
