Frederico Zaniol

Frederico Zaniol has extensive work experience in the field of master planning and urban design. Frederico is currently serving as an Associate Director / Master Planning & Urban Design at Broadway Malyan, where they provide technical and professional leadership in the execution of master planning projects in the UAE and wider region.

Prior to their current role, Frederico worked at Jacobs as an Associate Urban Designer / Master Planner, where they developed master plans integrating social, economic, and environmental aspects. Frederico gathered and analyzed data on various factors affecting the urban environment and proposed strategies for land and asset distribution. Frederico also liaised with local authorities, stakeholders, and development specialists.

Before joining Jacobs, Frederico worked at CallisonRTKL as a Senior Designer / Master Planner. In this role, they developed ideas and alternative solutions in diverse master plan schemes, connecting built elements and social settings. Frederico coordinated work across multiple disciplines and presented the collected information to authorities and clients.

Frederico's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Master Planner at Broadway Malyan, where they prepared and developed urban design and master planning schemes. Frederico also worked at Varetto Design as a Collaborator Architect / Urban Designer, overseeing company operations in the Middle East and cultivating client relationships.

Furthermore, Frederico has served as an Architect / Urban Designer at IMM Design Lab, where they created concept designs and developed intelligent master plans. Frederico employed their knowledge of current trends and technologies to integrate planning and environmental factors.

Frederico began their career at Otra Ltda as an Architect / Project Manager, where they coordinated design teams and managed relationships with subcontractors. Frederico guided residential and commercial architectural designs from conception to completion.

Frederico also has experience as an Architectural Intern at GAA Architects, Inc.

Frederico Zaniol completed their Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina, from 2002 to 2008. Frederico then pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Architectural Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, from 2013 to 2016.
