Samuel Lopes

Samuel Lopes is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Forerunner since December 2021, Samuel previously held positions as Engineering Lead and Senior Software Engineer at the same company. Prior to Forerunner, Samuel worked as Engineering Manager and Software Engineer at Tegus, and as Senior Software Engineer at Braintree. From June 2012 to February 2017, Samuel contributed to various projects as a Software Engineer at Groupon, including leading a team for a partner integration platform. Samuel began the professional journey as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Notre Dame, where formal education in Computer Science and Engineering began, culminating in degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
