Shannon Gatta

Shannon Gatta is a Systems Data Engineer III at Blue Origin, specializing in the design of a data platform for the New Glenn reusable rocket, integrating and aligning sensor datasets with over 40 engineers across various subsystems. Additionally, Shannon serves as a Bar Raiser Coach, promoting diversity and inclusion through external interview processes, and as President of the New Ride LGBTQIA+ Business Resource Group, organizing events and collaborating on inclusive policies. Previous experience includes roles as an Intelligence Analyst in the Army National Guard, a Systems Engineer at Ball Aerospace and Stratolaunch, and software engineering positions at NASA and various technology firms. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Informatics with a focus on Data Science from the University of Washington, along with multiple associate degrees in related fields. Shannon is actively involved in the Brooke Owens Fellowship Program and serves on the Advisory Board for Lesbians Who Tech & Allies.
