Christel Colon

Christel Colón, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as HR Business Partner at Brookhaven National Laboratory since November 2010, where Christel enables scientific advancements through strategic partnerships with leadership and employees. Prior roles include Director of Human Resources at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Compensation Manager at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Christel also held various management positions at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers and Stony Brook University, where responsibilities included classification and compensation management and HR liaison roles. Christel possesses a Master's degree in Labor Management/Human Resources from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from Pace University.
