Thomas Daniels

Tom Daniels leads the Facilities & Operations Directorate, managing approximately 500 employees in eight divisions, including the Energy & Utilities Division, Laboratory Protection Division, Modernization Project Office, Production Division, Guest Services Division, Integrated Facility Management, Operational Support and Planning Division, and Site Planning and Infrastructure Management.

Tom has held leadership positions in reactor operations, nuclear facility decontamination and decommissioning, environmental remediation, and facilities and operations. Prior to coming to the Lab, he was a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy.

Tom earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University and a master’s in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College, along with certifications from the U.S. Green Building Council through its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program and as a project management professional from the Project Management Institute.
