Dr Urvashi Sahni

Dr. Urvashi Sahni is the Founder President and CEO of the Study Hall Educational Foundation (SHEF), an inclusive non-profit organization established in January 1986, dedicated to transforming the lives of millions of children, particularly girls and young women, through community engagement and educational interventions in India. In addition to leading SHEF, Dr. Sahni serves as an Asoka Fellow, a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Universal Education at The Brookings Institution, and a Schwab Fellow with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship. Dr. Sahni is also a co-founder of Catalyst 2030, an initiative launched in January 2020. Holding a PhD in Education from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Sahni brings decades of experience in advocating for equitable education systems.
