Senior Fellow And Director Of The Schaeffer Initiative On Health Policy at Brookings

Richard Frank is a distinguished expert in health economics, currently serving as a Senior Fellow and Director of the Schaeffer Initiative on Health Policy at The Brookings Institution since September 2021. With a long-standing affiliation with Harvard University, where Richard Frank holds the title of Margaret T. Morris Professor of Health Economics, both in active and emeritus capacities, Richard has significantly contributed to the field since 1994. Previously, Richard Frank held key positions at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation. Richard's academic journey began with a BA in economics from Bard College, followed by a PhD in economics from Boston University.
