Emily Aponte

Emily Aponte is the VP of Human Resources at the Brooklyn Nets. Prior to their current position, they were the Senior Director of Human Resources at Hearst Magazines, and before that, the Director of People & Culture at AMC Networks.

A strategic and innovative thinker, Emily has a proven track record in developing and implementing initiatives that have positively impacted organizational culture and employee engagement. Emily is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and has led several successful initiatives in this area, including the creation of Employee Networking Groups, a ‘Return-Ship’ program for potential employees that have been out of the workplace, and the implementation of a Career Development Coaching Center.

Emily is a strong leader who is able to build consensus and drive results through cross-functional teams. Emily is a trusted partner to HR colleagues and business leaders alike, and is known for their ability to reinforce the importance of talent and learning initiatives throughout an organization.

Emily Aponte's educational career includes earning a Bachelor's degree from [Fordham University in Psychology and a B.A. from Fordham University in Psychology. Emily also has a M.Ed. from Springfield College in Counseling.]
