Emily Aponte is the VP of Human Resources at the Brooklyn Nets. Prior to their current position, they were the Senior Director of Human Resources at Hearst Magazines, and before that, the Director of People & Culture at AMC Networks.

A strategic and innovative thinker, Emily has a proven track record in developing and implementing initiatives that have positively impacted organizational culture and employee engagement. Emily is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and has led several successful initiatives in this area, including the creation of Employee Networking Groups, a ‘Return-Ship’ program for potential employees that have been out of the workplace, and the implementation of a Career Development Coaching Center.
