Carly Buchanan Shrm-Scp, Aphr

Carly Buchanan, SHRM-SCP, aPHR has over 10 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on building and implementing HR solutions, processes, procedures, and technology. Carly is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at Brooks Construction Company, Inc., where they are responsible for leading all HR functions across the organization. Carly has also gained leadership experience as the President-Elect on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Indiana Human Resources Association. Prior to their current role, they were the leader of a high-performing branch at Partners 1st Federal Credit Union, where they successfully managed HR tasks and achieved notable results, including recruiting top talent and developing employees for leadership positions.

Carly Buchanan, SHRM-SCP, aPHR, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Human Resources from the Indiana Institute of Technology, earned between 2023 and 2025. Carly also possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources from the same institution. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Carly obtained an Associate of Science degree in Business Management from Purdue University Fort Wayne.

In addition to their educational achievements, Carly has obtained several certifications. Carly is a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a designation received in July 2021. Carly is also an Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) certified by the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) since June 2018. Furthermore, Carly has completed the Getting Talent Back to Work Certificate, holds a Notary Public certification from the State of Indiana, and has completed the SHRM Essentials of Human Resources course. Carly also possesses a Veterans at Work Certificate, highlighting their commitment to supporting veterans in the workforce.
