John Hynes

John Hynes has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. John began their career in 1994 as a Marine NCO in the United States Marine Forces Reserve. In 1996, they worked as a Revenue Manager for the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation.

In 1997, they joined the New York City Police Department as a Police Sergeant/Officer, where they served for over 22 years. During their time there, they held various units and received special training, and they were also a member of the Honor Legion.

In January 1997, they briefly worked as a Diplomatic Security Officer for the US Mission to the UN at Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc.

In 2019, John transitioned to the private sector and became a Security Account Manager in New York City for Brosnan Risk Consultants. In 2020, they founded their own company, Newcastle Protection & Consultants, LLC.

John's most recent role, which they began in February 2019, is Vice President Northeast at Brosnan Risk Consultants. Prior to that, they served as District Manager of Security Services in the New York Metropolitan area for the same company.

John Hynes holds a Master of Arts degree from John Jay College (CUNY) and a Bachelor of Science degree from Marist College. John also attended Fordham Preparatory School. In addition to their academic education, John has obtained various certifications including PPO Qualified Manager from the State of California, Certified Instructor for Security Officer Courses from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and Armed Security Guard from the same institution. John has also completed the OSHA 30 Construction Safety & Health certification from OSHA Services, LLC. Furthermore, John has completed the Police Officer Course NY from the New York City Police Department and holds several licenses and certifications in the field of private investigation and security, including licenses from the states of Delaware, Massachusetts, West Virginia, and Vermont, as well as a Private Patrol Operator - Qualified Manager certification from the Texas Department of Public Safety. John is also a Security Firm - Compliance Agent certified by the Department of Virginia State Police and holds a Security Guard And Patrol Licensee from the State of North Carolina.
