Carlos A. Parra's work experience includes roles at various organizations. Carlos A. started their career at Cox Radio in 1999, where they worked as a Marketing and Promotions, Production Assistant, and Programming. Carlos A. then worked for the Palm Beach County School District as an Educator, teaching Advanced Placement U.S. Government and Honors American History. In 2008, they joined Polk State College as the Director of Student Activities & Leadership Office. Finally, in 2013, they joined Broward College, initially as the Director of Student Life & Development, later becoming the Director of Student Affairs, and currently serving as the Senior Director of Student Engagement.
Carlos A. Parra has a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida, which they started in 2012. From 2009 to 2011, they obtained a Masters degree in Higher Education Leadership/Student Personnel from the University of Central Florida. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they earned a degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies from Florida Atlantic University.
