Peter Jannis

Peter Jannis has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Peter began their career in 1984 as an Accountant/Assistant Foreign Exchange Trader at Elders Finance IXL. Peter then worked as a Financial Analyst at Barclays Bank before joining PwC as an Audit Senior, where they performed audits and prepared personal financial plans for clients.

In 1990, they joined the City of Pittsburgh Controller's Office as the Chief Accounting Officer/CPA-Chief Accountant, managing the general ledger and successfully implementing the GASB 34 financial reporting model. Peter also held the position of Deputy School Controller/Auditor for Controller at the Pittsburgh Public Schools Controller's Office, overseeing a team of auditors and compiling the annual financial report adhering to GASB standards.

In 1986-1988, Peter attended the College for Financial Planning, where they acquired their Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification. Following this, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in November 1989.
