John Vera

John Vera is an experienced emergency management and safety professional with a diverse background spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Emergency Management Coordinator at Broward Health since June 2022, John previously held multiple leadership roles at Kendall Regional Medical Center, including Safety Officer and Director of Safety and Security. John's extensive tenure at UPS from August 2000 to August 2018 involved various positions such as Security Manager for the Caribbean and Central America, Aviation Security and Compliance Manager, and Health and Safety Manager, where responsibilities included developing safety strategies and ensuring compliance with regulations. Prior experience includes a Training and Development Specialist role at Challenge Air Cargo and a distinguished military career as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army.
