Jayla Millender

Jayla Millender is an experienced medical scribe currently employed at Brown Emergency Medicine since January 2022, with prior experience at ScribeAmerica from January 2021 to June 2021. Millender also held the position of Undergraduate Research Assistant at Nguyen Research Group from January 2019 to May 2021, where contributions included participation in quantitative data collection and development of methods to protect turtle populations, specifically analyzing the nesting habits of olive Ridley sea turtles. Millender earned a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Brown University in May 2023 and holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Africana Studies from the University of Connecticut, completed in 2021.
