Matthew E. Powell

Matt is the practice leader of the Brown Smith Wallace Employee Benefit Plan Audit practice. He works closely with his clients delivering timely and insightful advice related to recent and upcoming developments, accounting, auditing, legislative and regulatory changes.

Matt is the firm’s subject matter expert related to benefit plan audits and has responsibility for the overall design and implementation of Brown Smith Wallace’s employee benefit plan audit methodology. Additionally, Matt is responsible for the development and training of the firm’s benefit plan engagement teams providing technical leadership to support the firm’s employee benefit plan engagements.
