Abbey Aevazelis

Abbey Aevazelis is a seasoned educator and program director with extensive experience in STEM education and marine science. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Pre-College Programs and Director of STEM Programs at Brown University since April 2015, Abbey collaborates across departments to develop and implement innovative educational programs. Prior experience includes leadership roles as Executive Director at Ocean Explorium, where strategic vision and operational management significantly enhanced program quality and community engagement. Additional positions held encompass Education Manager and Educator at Ocean Explorium, as well as teaching roles in secondary education and tutoring for the Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure. Abbey holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Chemical Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island.
