Emanuele di Lorenzo

Emanuele Di Lorenzo is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences, currently serving as a Professor at Brown University since July 2022. As the Founder and Chairman of Ocean Visions since June 2018, Emanuele has been instrumental in advancing ocean science initiatives. Previously, from June 2004 to June 2022, Emanuele held the position of Director and Professor in Ocean Science & Engineering, along with a role as Professor of Ocean & Climate Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Emanuele's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Oceanography and Climate Sciences from UC San Diego (1997-2004) and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Environmental Sciences from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna (1990-1997).
