Thomas Serre serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Computational Brain Science and Faculty Director of the Center for Computation & Visualization at Brown University since January 2010, while also holding the position of Professor. Research conducted in the Serre lab investigates brain mechanisms involved in the recognition of objects and complex visual scenes through various behavioral, imaging, and physiological techniques. Additionally, Thomas Serre has been the International Chair in AI at the ANR-3IA Artificial and Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute since September 2019 and was a Scientific Advisor at Vium from March 2017 to April 2020. Previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Associate role at MIT from June 2006 to December 2009. Thomas Serre earned a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006 and a Master of Science in Image Processing from IMT Atlantique in 2000.
