Michael Hanley

Michael Hanley has had a long and successful career in corporate finance and operations. Michael currently serves as the Corporate Director at BRP, a position they have held since 2012. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Operations and Strategy for the Office of the President at National Bank of Canada from 2009 to 2011. Michael also held the position of Lead Director on the Board of Directors for Shawcor from 2015 to 2021.

Hanley has also served on the Board of Directors for several other companies, including First Quantum Minerals LTD, iA Financial Group (Industrial Alliance), and Groupe Jean Coutu. Michael has chaired the Audit Committee for all three companies. In addition, they served on the Special Board Committee that oversaw the $4.5 billion Metro acquisition transaction for Groupe Jean Coutu, which closed in May 2018.

Hanley holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). Michael has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Michael Hanley has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from HEC Montréal in business and accounting.
