Guru Raj Miet

Guru Raj MIET has a diverse range of work experience in the energy and engineering industry. Guru currently holds the position of Business Unit Director at BRUSH Group, where they are responsible for driving the strategic direction and overall performance of the business unit. Prior to this role, they served as the Group Project Management Director for the same company.

Before joining BRUSH Group, Guru Raj MIET worked at Instalcom Limited as the Head of Programme Delivery. Guru'sresponsibilities included overseeing the successful delivery of various programs.

Guru Raj MIET also has a strong background at National Grid, where they held multiple positions. As a Senior Project Manager and Lead Project Manager, they led teams in delivering a portfolio of grid connections projects. Guru also worked as a Project Manager, overseeing critical infrastructure and customer connections projects.

Earlier in their career, Guru Raj MIET gained experience at Amey as a Project Manager, focusing on power transmission and distribution major projects. Guru also worked at Siemens Energy as a Project Engineer and Graduate Engineer, where they gained a broad appreciation of the business through various placements.

Guru Raj MIET's work experience also includes roles at Monument Renewable Technologies Ltd, where they worked as an Electrical Design & Delivery Engineer, and at Trans Gulf Electro Mechanical LLC and J&P- AVAX S.A. as an Electrical Estimation Engineer and Electrical Engineer respectively.

Guru Raj MIET obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from St. Joseph Engineering College in Mangalore, India, from 2003 to 2007. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Power Engineering from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom from 2009 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Guru Raj MIET has obtained several certifications, including the APM Project Management Qualification - APMP (IPMA Level D) from the Association of Project Management in May 2014, the Managing Safely in the Engineering Construction Industry certification from the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) in November 2013, the APM Introductory Certificate (APM IC) from the Association of Project Management in January 2013, the Basic Electrical Safety Competence (BESC) from EUSR in February 2012, and the Persons Course certification from National Grid in February 2012.
