Simone Dahrouge has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Simone began their career as a Research Assistant at the Montreal Neurological Institute from 1986 to 1988. Simone then worked as a Project Manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb from 1986 to 1988. Afterward, they served as a Biology Teacher at Algonquin College and Cégep Heritage College from 1990 to 1991 and 1995, respectively. Simone held the role of President/Consultant at Easy-Track Medical Solutions Inc. from 1997 to 2001. Simone then worked as a Clinical Research Manager at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre from 1992 to 2004. Simone also worked as a Consultant at the Ontario Cancer Research Network from 2003 to 2004. From 2004 to 2009, they were the Manager of Research Operations at the Bruyere Research Institute. Simone also served as a Scientist/Director and Acting Director of Research at the same institute from 2009 to 2010 and 2009 to 2016, respectively. From 2011 to 2016, they were the Director of Research at the University of Ottawa. Later, they became the Assistant Professor and Deputy Chair at the same university from 2011 to present. In 2012, they became an Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical and Evaluative Sciences. Simone is currently a Senior Scientist and Vice-Chair of Research at the University of Ottawa.

Simone Dahrouge's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology from McGill University, which was obtained between 1982 and 1984. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biology, also at McGill University, from 1984 to 1986. Later on, they enrolled at the University of Ottawa and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Epidemiology from 2000 to 2003. Finally, they furthered their education at the University of Ottawa by obtaining a PhD degree in Population Health between 2006 and 2010.
