Dr. Ronna Campbell is an associate professor of emergency medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and the associate chair of the emergency medicine research division. She earned her medical degree as well as her PhD in Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Campbell has studied the emergency management of anaphylaxis for over 10 years, working to improve the emergency management of anaphylaxis by evaluating diagnostic criteria, implementing interventions to improve emergency department anaphylaxis recognition and treatment, and collaborating on the development of anaphylaxis practice guidelines. She has also studied the safest routes of epinephrine administration, risk factors for severe anaphylaxis and biphasic reactions, as well as anaphylaxis epidemiology.
