Jayanta Chakraborty

Jayanta Chakraborty has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies. Jayanta began their career as a Project Engineering Intern at Development Consultants, Inc (DCI) in 2002. Jayanta then worked as Deputy Manager Corporate Quality at Ashok Leyland from 2003 to 2006, where they specialized in process improvement, vehicle service, and ISO/TS 16949 implementation. Jayanta then joined Tata Motors as a Manager in SCM, Quality, and Internal Audit from 2006 to 2009, focusing on production quality, supply chain management, and risk mitigation. Following this, they worked at LRQA as a Lead Assessor from 2009 to 2011, assessing and improving quality management systems for large organizations. Jayanta then joined Michelin as Head Quality, Design & Industrialization for Europe, Africa-India & Middle East from 2011 to 2014, where they focused on process design, industrialization, and compliance with ISO/TS 16949, EMS, and OHSAS standards. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Bureau Veritas as a Lead Auditor, Technical Specialist & Faculty for IATF & Integrated Management Systems, evaluating business management systems, conducting risk assessments, and providing training. Their most recent position was at BSI, starting in 2017, where they served as a Project Manager, Technical Reviewer, Lead Auditor, and Faculty.

Jayanta Chakraborty earned a Bachelor's Degree in B.E (Mechanical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) in Shibpur, from 1999 to 2003. Jayanta then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a Dual Specialization in TQM & Operations Management from Sikkim Manipal University - Distance Education from 2012 to 2015. In terms of language studies, Jayanta achieved a B2 level proficiency in French at Alliance Française de Delhi from 2011 to 2013, and obtained a G1 level proficiency in German at Goethe Institut Indien from 2002 to 2003. Their high school education was completed from 1997 to 1999 at Jodhpur Park Boys' School in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, and Bengali. Lastly, Jayanta attained a 10th grade degree from Nava Nalanda in 1997. Jayanta also has additional certifications in various fields such as IATF 16949 Lead Auditor, BVCI OHSAS LA COURSE, BVCI EMS LA COURSE, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, RUBBER PRODUCT MFG, LRQA QMS LA COURSE, and 6 SIGMA GREEN BELT.
