Joshua B. Emberg

Joshua B. Emberg is the firm’s Director of Administration. In this capacity, Josh works closely with the other members of Buchanan’s leadership team to execute the firm’s operation objections. Specifically, Josh is responsible for the firm’s real estate portfolio and facilities management operations; outsourced services contracts; research services and competitive intelligence; business continuity preparedness; and data analytics.

Prior to transitioning into this role, Josh managed the day-to-day business operations for the firm’s Labor & Employment and Healthcare practices, which consisted of more than 100 attorneys and paralegals. Josh was responsible for driving revenue and profitability growth through business planning and financial management, including capacity and work flow optimization, matter pricing, compensation analysis, expense approval, professional development and lateral recruiting. He also assisted with business development and marketing, knowledge management and legal project management efforts.

Josh began his career at Herbert, Rowland and Grubic, a full-service civil engineering firm in Central Pennsylvania, where he provided business development support to their Transportation, Land Development and Environmental service groups.

Josh earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University, where he was a leader on the University’s football team and served as liaison to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. Prior to college, Josh also earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America, an honor recognizing superior leadership and community involvement.
