Bill Walrath

Bill Walrath has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Bill currently serves as the Head of Managing General Agents at Buckle since August 2022, where they are responsible for driving growth and profit in the auto insurance business and supporting the expansion of GIG auto.

Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, Bill was the COO and Partner at MyLighthouse.co, where they advised on the development of a new insurance product and co-developed a technology solution for the US insurance industry. Bill also published articles on various insurance topics.

Bill had a long tenure at Farmers Insurance, starting in 1998. During their time there, they held multiple leadership positions, including VP/Head of Sales Operations, VP/Head of Agency Performance, VP/Head of Southern California, VP/Head of Change Management, State Executive Director, Director - CA/TX Zone, Senior Division Manager, and Claims Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for various aspects of distribution, management, change management, and customer experience improvement.

Before joining Farmers Insurance, Bill worked as a Life Insurance Agent at John Hancock Financial Services from 1997 to 1998.

Bill Walrath obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Bowling Green State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in the insurance field. In February 2005, they received the LUTCF certification from NAIFA. More recently, in March 2021, they obtained the Insurance Agent (Health, Property, Casualty) certification from the California Department of Insurance. Additionally, in December 2021, they obtained the same insurance agent certification from the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation, the Ohio Department of Insurance, and the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
