Karen McWhorter

Karen McWhorter has a strong background in American art and art history, with a specific focus on western American art and history. Karen has experience working as a freelance writer, adjunct instructor, paid intern in art title insurance, lead teaching assistant, and in various roles at both the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and the Denver Art Museum. Karen currently holds the position of Collier-Read Director of Curatorial, Education, and Museum Services at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, where Karen also serves as the Scarlett Curator of Western American Art at the Whitney Western Art Museum.
