Yoav Etgar

Yoav Etgar is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations, cybersecurity, and project management. Currently serving as CEO of BugEra since November 2020, Etgar leads the development of innovative Black Soldier Fly strains through advanced genetic engineering, contributing to the circular economy. Previously, in senior roles at HARMAN Automotive Cybersecurity (TowerSec), significant achievements included managing global operations and delivery, building a successful delivery team, and influencing the company's evolution in automotive cybersecurity leading to its acquisition by Harman International Industries. Etgar's background also includes project and program management in missile defense at Elisra, and a decade of service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Israeli Air Force where leadership roles spanned air defense operations and cybersecurity. With an MBA and a degree in Industrial Engineering and Information Technology from Ben-Gurion University, Etgar possesses a strong educational foundation to complement his professional expertise.
