Santanu Datta

Santanu Datta has a significant work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Santanu began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 1981 and later held similar positions at Baylor College of Medicine Houston and Karolinska Institutet. In 1989, they became a Senior Scientist at Astra Research Centre India, where they worked until 2000. At AstraZeneca India, they served as a Principal Research Scientist from 2000 to 2009. From 2009 to 2014, they were the Vice President of CELLWORKS RESEARCH INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. Santanu'smost recent position was as the Chief Scientific Officer at Bugworks Research Inc., which they held from 2014 until 2022. Additionally, Santanu Datta has also served as a Mentor at Bugworks Research Inc. since 2023.

Santanu Datta obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biophysics from Calcutta University in Kolkata in 1981.
