Sue Dalelio

Senior Advisor to the CEO at BUILD

Sue Dalelio is the Senior Advisor to the CEO at BUILD. Sue has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on fundraising, operations, and leadership development.

Sue began their career as the Director of Development at the Boston Center for Adult Education in 1996. In 2005, they transitioned to The Posse Foundation, where they served as Regional Vice President for seven years. In 2012, Sue joined Health Leads as Principal of Development. During their four years at Health Leads, they helped the organization transition from a direct service program to a global digital platform.

Most recently, Sue served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston from 2019 to 2020. In this role, they were responsible for the organization's day-to-day operations, including fundraising, finance, human resources, and program delivery.

Sue is a passionate advocate for social justice and has dedicated their career to empowering young people to create positive change in their communities.

Sue Dalelio studied economics and art history at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in both disciplines.

Sue Dalelio reports to Ayele Shakur, CEO. They are on a team with Kate Slater - National Director, College Success, Pepper Hayes - Director, Development Operations & Communications, and Julie Tumasz - National Creative Director.
