Zachary Lesko has had a varied work experience since 2012. Zachary began their career as a Machinist/Shop Hand at Lesko Rig Components Ltd. in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Nelsen Technologies Inc., where they completed design tasks, performed calculations and inspections of oilfield equipment, and drafted various projects using Autodesk Inventor. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Rigmaster Machinery Ltd. as a Mechanical Engineer (E.I.T.), where they led a small team of engineers/designers responsible for designing the "DockLock"; they were also the technical point of contact for NASA on a partnership between the two. In 2019, they worked at RA Hodgson Industrial Design as a Mechanical Engineer (E.I.T.), where they designed structural components using Autodesk Inventor and ran analyses in Ansys as required. Currently, they are a Mechanical Engineering Consultant at Cover Technologies Inc. Zachary has also worked at Windermere Golf Course as a Maintenance employee from 2012 to 2017.
Zachary Lesko obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in 2017. In September of 2017, they obtained the Engineer In Training certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
