Alexa Marcotte

Alexa Marcotte is a seasoned researcher currently serving as a Senior Researcher and User Researcher at Buildertrend since December 2022. Prior to this role, Alexa held various positions at the Kinsey Institute, including Senior Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow from May 2019 to December 2022, and was a Graduate Research Assistant from June 2015 to May 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Instructor at Indiana University from August 2012 to May 2015 and as a Human Trafficking Consultant for the State of Tennessee from March 2011 to July 2012. Alexa holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Gender Studies from Indiana University Bloomington and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Cognitive Studies (B.S.) and Women's and Gender Studies (B.A.) from Vanderbilt University.
