Atusaye Mwafulirwa

Atusaye Mwafulirwa is an experienced professional with a diverse background in civil engineering and project management. Currently serving as the Deputy Country Director at buildOn since June 2022, Mwafulirwa also holds the position of Managing Director and Civil Engineer at Kajala Construction Company, where responsibilities include building assessments, preparation of tender documents, and project management since August 2010. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Airport Developments Limited from June 2007 to October 2015, overseeing engineering operations at Malawi's largest international airport, and Estates Manager for the Carlsberg Group from June 2005 to June 2007, managing maintenance budgets and a large team. Mwafulirwa's educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration in Leadership and Change Management from Leeds Beckett University, a Post Graduate International Diploma in Project Management from the Malawi Institute of Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Malawi, The Polytechnic.
