Rassaan Parris is an experienced educator currently serving as a Home Instruction Facilitator with the NYC Department of Education since September 2023, providing instruction to students confined to home due to medical conditions. Since September 2015, Rassaan has held the position of Instructional Lead Teacher for English Language Arts and Dean at Lehman YABC, focusing on culturally responsive curriculum development and utilizing restorative practices to support student development. Rassaan's extensive teaching career includes roles at various institutions, such as High School for Energy and Technology, School for Tourism and Hospitality, and JANE ADDAMS VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, where responsibilities ranged from modifying English curricula for diverse learning needs to leading professional development. Rassaan holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Mercy University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University at Buffalo.
