Daniela Handjieva, MA, EMBA has a strong professional background in the banking and investment sectors. Daniela began their career at Bulgarian American Credit Bank in 1999 as a Compliance Officer, where they served until 2004. In 2007, they returned to the bank as the Head of Credit Process and then went on to become the Head of Credit Risk, Monitoring, and Loan Administration in 2012. Most recently, Daniela has held the role of Head of Monitoring and Credit Process in the Risk Management Division since January 2019. In addition to their work at Bulgarian American Credit Bank, Daniela also served as a Member of the Board of Directors for investment companies associated with the bank and BAEF from 2003 to 2012.

Daniela Handjieva, MA, EMBA has a diverse education history spanning from 1983 to 2001. Daniela began their academic journey at the English Language School "Lilyana Dimitrova" from 1983 to 1988. After completing their secondary education, Daniela then attended Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained their MA in English Studies. Continuing their thirst for knowledge, they pursued a Post Graduate program at the University of National and World Economy from 1995 to 1997, specializing in Financial Management, Banking Management, and Finance. Finally, Daniela attended City University in Seattle, USA, from 1999 to 2001, earning an Executive MBA degree in Business Administration.
